Ruth Casper has been an interior designer since 1997. She is owner and principal designer for Ruth Casper Design Studio and owner of Make Room Home Furnishings in the Michigan Design Center. Her design firm focuses on full-scope residential projects with a focus on architectural details, customization, and project management. Ruth is known for her dynamic and energetic professional problem solving.

Ruth believes the foundation of your home is more than cement, brick, and wood—the Foundation of your home is the Spirit that lives inside, your values and how you want to experience life each day. She wants to leave a positive impact on the lives of our customers.

Ruth is a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Interior Architecture and has received numerous accolades in the design world, including several Design Awards, 2013 Detroit Home Rising Star Nomination, and has been featured in publications including Detroit Home Magazine, Interiors Midwest, and Detroit News Homestyle. Ruth also donates her professional services to worthy causes such as Suite Dreams Project and Prayer Shawl Ministries.

For 2026, Ruth is excited to be taking on the Professional Development position with ASID.
